We are very pleased to announce our next range of 28 mm miniatures, whose first references will see the light this September, a very dear project in which we have been working for almost a year, Visigoths. With the help of the virtuoso 3D sculptor Fanath, we are developing a complete range that, as is already our trademark, combines the detail and spectacularity of the miniatures with the maximum rigor in the historical documentation.

A range that draws on the extraordinary work of historian José Soto Chica, author of essential books that have shed new light on the period as Empires and Barbarians. War in the Dark Ages (2019), The Visigoths. Children of an Angry God (2020) and Leovigild. King of the Hispanics (2023) (all in Spanish); from the precise historical and archaeological documentation resulting from the most recent research generously provided by Yeyo Balbás, author of the book Sword, hunger and captivity. The Islamic Conquest of Spania (2022) (in Spanish) and experimental archaeologist expert in the period, member of the historical recreation group El Clan del Cuervo; and of the always evocative atmospheres created by the master painter Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau, a permanent source of inspiration whose canvas on Covadonga was the push we needed to encourage us with this period. Our deepest thanks to all of them

This new range of 28mm Visigoths white metal miniatures designed for both collectors and wargaming, with special attention to SAGA, will be developed in several thematic phases, with the first of them centered around Covadonga (718/722), the final resistance of the Visigothic remnants led by Pelayo after the debacle of the battle of Guadalete (711) and the subsequent Muslim occupation of almost the entire Iberian Peninsula. This phase, composed of figures on foot, will be formed by a warlord and a character (of course, Pelayo), spatharios (noble warriors) with armor, warriors without armor and levies armed with bows and slings. In later phases we will add cavalry and new warlords and characters to represent the great armies of the Visigothic Kingdom of Toledo, from Leovigild (6th Century) to Rodrigo (8th Century).
